Young Foundations Fostering

Randstad Care is working in partnership with Young Foundations Fostering, an independent fostering agency which provides placements for children and young people aged between birth and 18 who may be experiencing difficulties that prevent them from living at home.

Young Foundations Fostering has recently experienced a growth in demand for their services and Randstad Care has been working with them to provide staff to assist in the expansion of their services. Young Foundations is now looking to expand their numbers of foster carers and has asked Randstad Care to continue to assist them in the recruitment of foster carers.

Nationally, there is a huge need for more foster carers, to help children and young people who are unable to live at home. The most recent research estimates that 10,000 more foster carers are needed to meet the needs of children and young people in United Kingdom.

Becoming a foster carer is a significant step in someone’s life and it is therefore important that the process is thorough, comprehensive and supportive. Applicants are supported through the assessment process and provided with comprehensive training and preparation package.

Foster carers who are approved through the registration process will be rewarded with a benefits package that includes a professional fee, children’s allowance, paid respite, a comprehensive training package including NVQ and the continuous support of experienced, qualified staff within Young Foundations. Our supervising social workers have limited case loads to ensure that they are able to provide a high quality of round-the-clock support to foster carers. We also provide clinical and other support staff to supplement the support offered by the agency.

Ideally, we are interested in applications from people who have previous experience of working with children or those who have cared for their own children. Young Foundations values diversity and welcomes applications from people from a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Above all, we are looking for people who can demonstrate commitment to the welfare of children and young people who will go ‘the extra mile’ to help any child placed with them to achieve their potential.
