First Aid - First Aid at Work Refresher (HSE Approved) - Randstad Care Staff Training

Candidates must have completed an FAW course less than 3 years ago.
 
You will cover:
  • Recognition of the unconscious person and recovery position
  • Airway maintenance in the unconscious person
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Control of bleeding, burns
  • Fractures and other muscular skeletal injury
  • Hypothermia and hyperthermia
  • Poisons
  • Eye injury
  • Heart conditions
  • Cerebral incidents - stroke, epilepsy, concussion
  • Asthma and Diabetes
  • Anaphylaxis and shock
  • Casualty positioning
  • Contents and care of first aid equipment

By the end of this course you will:

  • Re-qualify for the HSE First Aid at Work Certificate
  • Revisit and update any techniques in all of the topics that are taught on the 3-day course
  • Be competent and qualified to conduct First Aid at work

The course will revalidate the initial 3-day course.
