Emergency First Aid Refresher - Training for Social Care Jobs - Randstad Care

Duration: ½ Day
 
Type of Course: Updating of practical skills
 
Experience: Refresher


Candidates must have completed an Appointed Persons course less than 1 year ago.
 
You will cover:

  • Recognise and care for an unconscious person
  • Carry out basic chest compression only resuscitation
  • Respond to a blocked airway (choking)
  • Control bleeding and treat burns and fractures
  • Recognise and carry out basic stabilisation of common medical conditions
 
By the end of this course you will:

  • Update Appointed Persons First Aid Certificate
  • Revisit and update techniques in all of the topics that are taught on the 1-day course
  • Be competent and qualified to conduct First Aid in the workplace
 
The course will revalidate the initial 1-day course.
