You will cover:

  • Recognition of the unconscious person
  • Recovery position
  • Basic chest compression only resuscitation
  • Airway maintenance in the unconscious person
  • Clearance of a compromised airway
  • Shock
  • Casualty positioning
 
By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Administer basic life support
 
This course provides a good grounding for First Aid in and out of the workplace. It will teach you the first two links in the chain of survival in Adult Basic Life Support (BLS). It contains actions that are to be carried out in an emergency.
