Richard Smith

Operations Director

 

After completing a Psychology degree at Bristol University, Richard went on to do his postgraduate diploma in personnel management at Leeds Business School. After a time lecturing in Business and Finance, Richard joined Beresford Blake Thomas – now part of the Randstad Group - to pursue his interest in recruitment and the wider Human Resourcing field.

Over the last 15 years with the company Richard has overseen the amazing growth of the Health and Social Care division of BBT, going from being one of the first consultants to becoming Operations Director and more recently becoming involved in the management of Reliance Care.  BBT and Reliance Care have now come together as Randstad Care, for which Richard is the overall Operations Director.

Jonathan Wright

Director of Social Care



After completing a Political Theory degree at Liverpool University, Jonathan joined the Pharmaceutical company Merck, then the Marketing & Sales teams at Johnson & Johnson, promoting the use of anti - depressants to Consultants and GPs.  This developed his interest in Mental Health and he went on to complete a Masters and professional Social Work qualification at Goldsmiths College, University of London, specialising in Mental Health and Children & Families.

From here, Jonathan went on to practice as a Mental Health Social Worker in several London boroughs including Hammersmith & Fulham and Barking & Dagenham. However, his experience and understanding of the sector, and what is required of professionals across the Social Care industry, has driven him to use his expertise in recruitment, with positions in Cooper Stanley, Reliance Care and BBT - all now part of the Randstad Group.  He is now a Director within Randstad Care.

Samantha Griggs

Sales Director



After graduating in 1995 Samantha started working for BBT as a recruitment consultant. In 1998 she was promoted to team leader of the residential social work team in London and in 1999 she was promoted to Associate Director for the South East in Social Care.

In 2007 Samantha's role changed and she is now the Sales Director, responsible for ensuring we exceed expectations with the divisions key clients and increasing our client reach.

Karen Collins

Director – Health & Housing
 


As a graduate of Swansea University, Karen began her career with BBT as a Trainee Consultant in 2003, running an RSW children's desk and entrusted with the task of spearheading the company's first Welsh office based in Cardiff.

Karen’s interpersonal skills and natural flair for finding the best recruitment solutions for her clients, as well as mentoring others, saw both her and her growing Cardiff office achieve outstanding success. Winning Manager of the Year in 2005, Karen continued to demonstrate a consistent record of strong growth over the following years and was then promoted to Associate Director for the Southwest in Social Care.

Karen is now the Director of Health & Housing at Randstad Care and has overall responsibility for the growth of our AHP, Dom Care, Nursing and Housing Businesses throughout the UK.
