A rapidly expanding social care company in East Staffordshire will add 35 new jobs to its roster after winning a major council contract, Burton Mail reports.

Mediline Carers and Nurses, in Foston, will now become one of the main care providers in the region since scooping the deal with Staffordshire County Council.

The company has experienced massive growth from its humble beginnings, serving 773 clients annually - up from 313 just two years ago.

According to managing director, Michael Baines, Mediline - which specialises in patients with learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and dementia - will continue to recruit heavily in the area.

He said: "With sealing this new contract it has created rapid growth, and as a result we currently have lots of jobs available in the area and we are looking for new carers as well."

"We are recruiting all the time and doing inductions on a regular basis. We can't stress enough that the opportunities are there within the business for employment in the Burton area," he added.

According to Topix, company chairman Peter Cook, insisted that his team can support people from the comfort of their own homes and said that "everything from 30 minute calls to 24 hour live-in support" was available for patients.
