A state of the art physiotherapy practice is set to open in Gosport, creating 10 new physiotherapy jobs.

Coastal Clinics have invited 1,000 local guests ranging from GPs to local running clubs to two open days which can also be attended by walk in members of the public. The practice which officially opens this evening (12th) is to provide a range of health care options to its client and will be run by its founder Lisa Brown BSc (Hons) MCSP.

Staff at the clinic will use the open day to display what is thought to be the only facility of its kind in the county, used by a physiotherapy practice. The dedicated 'Wii-hab' suite is an area in which patients can exercise using Wii Fit virtual sports, which will be displayed on two large plasma tv screens.

Professionals based at the centre will include a team of multi-discipline physiotherapists, podiatritsts, surgeons and healthcare experts. Staff will use an approach which aims to restore health and quality of life using a combination of traditional and alternative medicine which include invasive and non-invasive cosmetic surgery.

"The aim is to develop the Coastal Clinics name into a leading player in its field, helping thousands of people each year improve their physical quality of life rather than endure discomfort," Lisa told About my Area.

"Our goal is the promotion of wellness, increased patient functioning and quality of life. This is an exciting time for the team, with the creation of 10 new jobs and the unveiling of the Wii-hab TV podiatrists suite which I understand to be the first facility of its kind to be used by our profession in Hampshire."
