New physio department to provide "best possible care"

28 July 2011 - Elizabeth Smythe

A private hospital in London has announced it will be opening a new, dedicated physiotherapy department, Private Healthcare UK.

The Garden Hospital in Hendon, will be opening the new department shortly, manned by experts formerly of the Chase Lodge Hospital in Mill Hill, those seeking physiotherapy jobs may be interested to learn.

It is expected they will treat in the region of 4,000 patients every year. Furthermore, the creation of the new department means that the hospital can offer services to those with back pain or to individuals who require post-trauma rehabilitation.

The established team, who have been serving the community for 20 years at Chase Lodge, will also be able to dispense advice and treatment regarding sports injuries, musculoskeletal therapy, incontinence or postnatal care.

Executive director, Kim McRae, told times-series.co.uk: "The whole team at The Garden Hospital is committed to providing the best possible care to our patients and the opening of this new facility will help to ensure that our patients have access to a broader range of treatments under one roof.

"This investment in the new physiotherapy department will allow us to maintain the highest possible range of care to people of all ages and sporting ability in the local community."

Commenting on the news, physiotherapy manager Nicky Bhatt said: "Our years of experience combined with new facilities available to us at The Garden Hospital will allow us to continue improving the level of care and clinical excellence available to our patients while also improving the environment in which they are treated."
