A new expansion in Telford by elderly care providers Home Instead Senior Care will create around 50 domiciliary care jobs, even as the company announces a recruitment drive in its home office area.

The Shropshire Star reports that the company's newly opened Telford Office is set to recruit 50 new staff over the coming year. It needs local people to fill positions and provide care for people in the Telford area, Ironbridge, Newport, Shifnal and Albrighton.

"We need local people to come forward and be part of our team," said Jenny Sokoloff, who alongside business partner Jason Warren will oversee the business. "We will only employ people who are committed to making a difference, treating our clients with dignity and respect and working to the highest professional standards."

Meanwhile, Home Instead's first office in the UK has also announced that increased demand for its services has resulted in an urgent need for people interested in social care jobs. The Chester Office, opened in 2007 was the first of the company's 60 offices to open, reports The Chester Chronicle.

According to Sue and Chris Broadbent, managers of the franchise business, their firm urgently needs carers to help clients in Chester, Ellesmere Port, Farndon, Tarvin, Tattenhall, Burton and the surrounding area. "We have people requiring care right now and so we are very keen to encourage more local people to consider a career in caring," said Chris.
